The Ultimate Songwriting Experience

Join us for a 3-day music adventure where curious, imaginative kids aged 8–12 can explore the art of songwriting and music-making in a fun, supportive environment.

Over three exciting days, students will write lyrics, create melodies, experiment with chords, and bring their ideas to life using real music software. Working in small teams, they’ll learn how music is built—then record an original song to take home and be proud of.

Led by professional musician, songwriter, and educator Sophie Hanlon, this program nurtures creativity, encourages teamwork, and builds valuable thinking skills like problem-solving, communication, and creative decision-making.

• Three Fun-Filled Days (6 hours/day): An immersive experience designed to engage young minds through hands-on music-making.

• Create a Real Song: From idea to recording—students work together to write and produce a completely original track.

• Take It Home: Each student receives a copy of their group’s recording to keep and share with family and friends.

This workshop is perfect for creative kids aged 8–12 who love music, storytelling, or inventing their own ideas. No experience is necessary—just a love of creativity and a willingness to try something new.

No prior musical experience is required! Every child will contribute to writing and producing an original, fully recorded song.

About Sophie Hanlon

Sophie Hanlon is a songwriter, performer, producer, and teacher with over 15 years of experience in the music industry. As Trophie, she has performed at festivals such as Glastonbury and Dark Mofo and has worked internationally with major music labels. She has also contributed as a songwriter with APRA AMCOS in Australia.

Sophie specialises in making music creation approachable and joyful for young learners. Her teaching blends fun with real skill-building, helping children express themselves musically while learning the foundations of songwriting and production.
